Ross Golf Club is a 9-hole course designed and built inside and around Killarney racecourse, with stunning views onwards to Killarney National Park and the Macgillycuddy Reeks mountains.
Roger Jones Golf Design was contracted by Killarney Race Company to design this course, which first opened to members and visitors in 1995.
Killarney Racecourse is only used for horse racing about three weeks in any year and therefore the rest of the time the golf course is in full use to members and fee-paying visitors.
The land available for this project allowed a high standard golf course to be designed and built. An added bonus was that some land available outside of the horse racing track had an abundance of existing trees which were carefully incorporated into the design.
